Joe Lenart

Joe Lenart is an Associate with B&O concentrating on patent portfolio development. Joe has served in private practice since 2007. Joe received his law degree, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University. Joe received his undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin, where he focused primarily on the technical field of software development. Before attending law school, Joe worked as a software engineer in numerous industries, most recently in a senior level position with an international telecommunications company. Joe’s legal experience includes patent prosecution and civil litigation. Representative experience includes:

  • Prosecuted over a hundred patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Patent prosecution in the technical fields of multimodal software applications, web applications, massive parallel computing, operating systems, middleware, database systems, pervasive computing systems, memory management, computer bus structures, heat sinks, computer data storage, and many others.
B&O lawyers are technologists that have among them decades of experience as in-house attorneys in multinational corporations.
